Christine D'Orsi Fitta has been practicing law for over twenty years in the State of Rhode Island. Her main area of concentration is Workers' Compensation Law. Chris has litigated hundreds of cases before the Workers' Compensation Court involving complex issues such as occupational diseases, right to reinstatement and continuation of benefits beyond the 312 week cap on partial indemnity benefits. Chris is also well versed in the Medicare Secondary Payer Act. She has lectured extensively on workers' compensation issues and laws as well as Medicare Secondary Payer compliance.
Prior to joining the Orabona Law Offices, P.C. team of professionals Chris was an "industry insider." Chris represented numerous national and international employers and insurance companies at the Workers' Compensation Court, providing her with the tools and industry contacts to work for you to obtain the best possible outcome of the workers' compensation claim.
Chris is licensed to practice law in Rhode Island State Courts, Massachusetts State Courts and Rhode Island Federal Court. She has brought numerous workers' compensation cases to the Rhode Island Supreme Court. Chris received an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible rating in legal abilities and ethical standards.
Chris is a member of the Rhode Island Bar Association, the Workers' Compensation Bench Bar Committee and Defense Counsel of Rhode Island. She served as a member of the board of directors of The East Bay Center and Girl Scouts of Southern New England.
Chris lives in Barrington, Rhode Island with her husband, Jay and their daughter, Olivia.
